  • Customised school-based Character Development Programmes and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
  • Study skills, Leadership, Career and other holistic children development programme
  • Working with children at risk and their families

Character is the inward motivation to do what is right - whatever the cost. We believe that every child has the potential to acquire positive values such as attentiveness, obedience, truthfulness, sincerity, diligence and responsibility.

At TOUCH Character Development*, we are concerned with not just the end result but also the learning process. For this reason, the trained coaches engage primary school students through assembly programmes, enrichment groups using innovative multimedia presentations, mediated learning, creative activities and behavior reinforcements designed to promote good behavior. Decisions based on good character values determine a child's success in his life ahead.

Services for Children

We provide customised character development programmes that help schools build up a strong and positive culture through a systematic, continual, innovative and developmental approach and curriculum that will meet the schools' needs. We also offer a holistic spectrum of 10 modular character-based programmes, ranging from:

Services for Parents and Teachers

Workshops for teachers and parents are also conducted to inspire and equip them in reinforcing character development in class and at home. This is essential as we believe that character development requires a concerted effort from teachers and parents.

“I see a distinct improvement in the pupils’ behaviour...their self-esteem has been greatly enhanced...they have definitely made strides in their academic achievement. I would recommend this programme to other schools!”.
- Ms Veronica Tay, Vice Principal
“I like the structured and systematic approach that is taken to help the students. The students also enjoy and look forward to the programme. The varied teaching mediums work very well in capturing the fleeting attention of the pupils. The minimal pen and paper exercises is refreshing to the kids who do not respond well to writing and academic related activities. The feedback session helps the teachers reinforce the changes made in the kids, as well as remind them of the strategies that they have been taught. This helps the teachers in working with the kids in the classroom. The STAR FOCUS programme is also very helpful as an extra value-added service, and the volunteer tutors are very committed and really go the extra mile. On the whole, I receive less complaints now from the teachers, which is a good sign. The teachers also gave feedback that they can see that the children are trying. I have seen one of the boys making attempts to improve his school attendance and the other kids trying to be responsible and exerting self-control in class.
I am thankful for the partnership with TOUCH in helping the disadvantaged children. I appreciate their genuine care and concern for the children and the perseverance and relentlessness in carrying out the programmes despite the numerous obstacles!”

- Li Pheng, Full Time School Counsellor, Radin Mas Primary School
“After the students have attended the TCD programme, I have noticed that some of them are putting in more effort to ensure that their homework is done. Students have also started planning their timetable at home to allocate study time. The content was simple enough for the students to understand. There was good use of video and presentations to cater to the different learning styles, and the learning activities were well structured and well thought through. Behaviour reinforcement incentives gave a nice touch towards letting students know they have done something well. This programme has been helpful to the teachers too in imparting socio-emotional learning to the students. It allowed teachers to explain stress management in an easier manner to students as they already have the pre-requisite learnt from the programme.”
- Mr Poh Choon Wee, P6 Level Head, Greenridge Primary School
“TOUCH understands our situation and they really try their best to help us, including providing free tuition. TOUCH also gives us moral support whenever we have problems as we have somebody to talk to. I don’t just receive money but also real concern from you all. Thanks so much for being there for us when my children were in primary school till they finished Secondary School!"
- Mdm Liza, Hakim’s mother
“I want to thank TCD for giving Nigel their care and guidance. “Thumbs-up!” for the services provided. Interaction between family and staff has also helped us communicate better and provide feedback. Experiences shared through this programme have been positive as they have helped us to understand, approach and handle matters in a more appropriate way. My child has also learnt how he can be motivated and better manage his anger.”
- Mr Francis Tan, Nigel’s Father
“Ever since I started the character building programme, my parents have become happier. They find that I have improved and practised what I have learnt. They also feel that it is important for one to practise character building from young. I enjoy this programme as there are many interesting games, quizzes and movies! I am happy that I have learnt something good. Thank you!”
- Evangeline Ku
