Founded in 1992 to reach out to individuals and families affected by insulin-treated diabetes, TOUCH Diabetes Support offers a community of care and support made up of people and families living with diabetes, volunteer healthcare professionals, and many who have a heart for this community. Our programmes are designed with the goal of helping them live well with diabetes.
A key feature of our service is support groups that cater to adults, youths and children with diabetes. We also provide diabetes education, lifestyle counseling, and organise camps and community events to help the public better understand diabetes.
Diabetes is not a disability. Whether it is climbing Mount Kinabalu or cycling to Kuantan or taking part in a triathlon, TDS' adventure learning projects, key of which is Project Discovery, have tested the tenacity and resilience of individuals with diabetes. TOUCH Diabetes Support Centre at Toa Payoh Lorong 1 runs a range of activities catering to adults, youths and children with diabetes.
