Parents are facing more challenges in understanding and communicating with their children. To help parents forge better relationships with their children, we offer parenting programmes that deal with the emerging issues faced by growing up children. TFLE conducts programmes for parents with infants, pre-schoolers, primary school children and teenagers.

Parents With Children Age 0-6

G.I.F.T. Parenting (0-6 months)

Learn practical skills & get useful information to help you bond, develop and manage your newborn.

Topics include learning how to:

  • Feed and burp baby
  • Bathe and change diapers
  • Manage fussy behaviours
  • Create bedtime routine
  • Understand the different signals when your baby cries
  • Be a responsive communicator through talking, singing and reading to your baby
  • Provide physical, tactile and visual stimulation for your baby
  • Manage parental worries, get support and self-care
Parents With Children Age 7-12

The Intentional Parent – Character First: Keys to your child’s success

Using the Parents’ Toolkit on Character Development, this workshop seeks to inspire parents of primary school going children to be more intentional in the character development of their children and learn why character truly determines success


Parents as Character Coaches

Parents have a key role to play in building their children’s character, and nurturing positive character values starts at home. This talk seeks to inspire parents of children aged 4-13 to be more intentional in the character development of their children, and learn why character truly determines success.


Positive Discipline

This programme is designed to teach parenting the Positive Discipline way (developed by Lynn Lott and Jane Nelsen). The programme is a research-based parent education program that provides a step-by-step approach to starting and leading experientially based parenting groups.


The 6As of An Effective Parent

This is a series of 6 messages on effective parenting/fathering to become a responsible and effective parent. It talks about the 6As – Acceptance, Appreciation, Affection, Availability, Accountability and Authority – their applications, and their impact on our children. Many helpful practical examples will be given. This talk is ideal for parents and especially fathers who want to make a difference to their children.

To help employees deal with issues of parenting to keep high performance, TFL offers a series of parenting talks.

To meet the needs of families and the community at large, Families for Life has introduced a new initiative, called FAMILY 365, to support and promote family life in the community and workplaces. The conduct of the programme is free of charge and covers the speakers’ fees as well as materials. TOUCH Family Services (TFS) is appointed as one of the vendors for FAMILY 365.
