JOIN us now, if you are available from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 3.30pm to 6.30pm, preferably once a week on weekdays or once a month on weekends (Note: We are currently seeking volunteers for weekdays). Distribution locations include areas around Bukit Batok, Toa Payoh, Whampoa, Bendemeer, Geylang Bahru, Potong Pasir, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio and Jurong. We need both car-owners/ drivers and delivery personnel. Generally, the work involves reporting to the THC office to collect pre-packed food, and then driving along a designated route to deliver the food packages. There will be one driver and assisted by a helper/runner for each delivery route.

NOTICE - Drivers and Runners in the Western and Central part of Singapore, e.g. Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Batok, Jurong and Toa Payoh, are urgently needed for our Meals-on-Wheels programme. For enquiries please call 6804 6565 or email [email protected] .

About the Role

Meal Runners

Each MOW team usually consists of a driver (need to use own vehicle) and a runner (deliver meals to doorstep).

You can be the driver or the runner.  [Occasionally, there are those who prefer to be driver and runner i.e. one man operation.]

Volunteering FAQs

  • Can I volunteer if I don't own a vehicle?
    • Yes you may. You can either be a runner and for some locations, it is possible to deliver via public transport.
  • Can I bring my child along?
    • Yes but you will have to take care of the child's safety and it should not affect the work of the volunteer.
