Born in 1946, Simon Wee graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1967. The renowned first-generation Master painter Chen Wen Hsi was his first teacher who introduced him to the basics of painting. Most of his works are done using colours such as white, black and gold. The strokes he creates are simple yet profound as they are derived from the inner recesses of his emotions.
His works have been included in exhibitions across Asia, including Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, Zhongshan, Seoul and Paris.
