Main Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a holistic and developmental appropriate early childhood curriculum for Nursery, K1 and K2 levels that supports the cognitive, emotional, social and physical development of children.
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Foster the intellectual, social, emotional & physical growth of each child through meaningful interactions, play-based learning and age-appropriate activities.
- Plan, organise, implement and supervise engaging classroom and outdoor activities that support children's learning and well-being.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with centre's curriculum goals.
- Promote an inclusive preschool environment by respecting diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles, ensuring every child feels valued and supported.
- Work collaboratively with fellow centre staff and families to support the holistic development of each child.
- Guide children’s behaviour positively and manage the classroom effectively to ensure a productive and respectful learning environment.
Working Conditions
- 5 day work week: Mon - Fri
- Location - West / North / North-East
Requirements
- Minimum 5 GCE 'O' Level with credit in EL1 / CL1.
- Diploma in Pre-School Education - Teaching (DPE-T) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECCE-T) or its equivalent recognized by ECDA for K1/K2 teacher
- Registered with ECDA and attained a L2 certification
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a caring and patient attitude.
- Passion and dedication to work with children.
- Adequate knowledge of current early childhood care and education development theories, research and practices.
