At TOUCH Young Arrows (TYA), we believe that every child has the potential, and can be nurtured and sharpened like arrows to make a positive impact in society and to be future leaders in the community. 

With a committed team of volunteer coaches and a low volunteer-child ratio, we conduct weekly Saturday programmes to meet the children's social, emotional and educational needs, and to bring out the best of their potential.

Who can join:

  • Children 5-12 years old from low-income and single-parent families
  • Gross household income of  ≤$1900 or per capita income of ≤$650 per month

On Saturdays, the volunteers run a variety of activities for some 500 children at 25 clubs including Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bukit Merah, Clementi, Geylang Bahru, Hougang, Marine Parade, Mountbatten, Queenstown, Serangoon, Tampines, Woodlands and Yishun (for full listing of clubs' details, please click here). The line-up of activities include tuition, mentoring, art and craft lessons, indoor and outdoor games, outings, camps, and adventure sports programmes. Some of the children who were in the pioneer programme some 25 years ago have returned to the club as volunteers to mentor the younger ones.

TOUCH Integrated Family Group (TIFG) aims to equip families with resources to face multi-faceted issues at different life stages. TIFG focuses on providing Resources to equip families to cope with different stressors, enabling families to strengthen Roles in transitions, and empower families to build Resilience. This is done through an integrated suite of services to support the family as a unit, with emphasis on education, intervention and advocacy.

Supported 596 children from low-income or single-parent families through weekly educational activities

64.5% of clients who graduated from TOUCH Young Arrows in 2018 continued to join the programme as teens in 2019
