Understand and Connect with the Deaf Community

We offer customised Deaf awareness workshops and conversational sign language workshops to equip individuals with skills to confidently connect and communicate with Deaf individuals.

Led by experienced Deaf and hearing instructors, these workshops will deepen your understanding of Deaf culture, highlight practical strategies for inclusive communication, and introduce you to Singapore Sign Language (SgSL).  

What to Expect

Explore our range of Deaf awareness and sign language workshops designed for anyone keen to build confidence and genuine connection with the Deaf community.

Deaf Awareness Workshop

Understand Deaf culture and community in this engaging workshop. Learn the basics of sign language including the alphabet and commonly used phrases to start bridging the communication gap.  

Conversational Sign Language Workshop

A foundational sign language workshop for individuals interested to effectively communicate with the Deaf. Participants will learn the basic principles of signing and practical tips for real-life interaction across four lessons (2 hours each).

A certificate of completion will be presented to participants who attend at least three sessions. 

The Silent Experience

Step into the world of silence and experience communication without sound, guided by a Deaf trainer.

Participants will use earplugs and engage in activities while picking up some phrases in Singapore Sign Language, gaining empathy and first-hand insight into communication with the Deaf. 

Who It's For

Our Deaf awareness workshops are suitable for individuals of all ages. Our conversational sign language workshop requires participants to be above the age of 12 years old.
