TOUCH J.A.M. Football Festival 2026

Why has TOUCH J.A.M. Football Festival 2026 been cancelled?  

In view of the prevailing haze conditions and the latest advisories from the National Environment Agency (NEA), we have made the difficult decision to cancel the TOUCH J.A.M. Football Festival, scheduled for 7 - 8 November 2026 at Our Tampines Hub. 

The festival brings together people of different ages for football and other outdoor activities. We believe it is prudent to put the health and well-being of our players, partners, volunteers, and the wider community first. 

The cancellation covers all festival activities, including football matches, e-sports competitions and activity booths. 
 

Could the festival be postponed instead? 

We explored various options, including the postponement of the festival. 

Rescheduling requires securing a suitable venue date and coordinating with partners, volunteers, and event personnel. With no suitable venue available on short notice over the next few months and continued uncertainty around the air quality, we regretfully had to cancel TOUCH J.A.M. Football Festival.  
 

Why was the decision to cancel made ahead of the festival, instead of waiting until closer to the event day?  

The decision took into account the haze outlook, public health advisories and the operational requirements of the festival.  

The haze outlook indicated that prevailing conditions could bring smoke haze towards Singapore. Given the sustained physical exertion involved in football, we also considered NEA’s guidance on reducing strenuous outdoor activity during periods of poorer air quality.  

Organising a festival of this scale requires advance commitments from participating teams, partners, vendors and volunteers. Making the decision early provides clarity for everyone involved and allows sufficient time for any adjustment of plans. 
 

Will the cancellation decision change if the air quality improves?  

The festival will remain cancelled even if air quality improves. This provides certainty for participants, partners, vendors and volunteers as they adjust their plans.  
 

Will there be a replacement or virtual event? 

There are currently no plans for a replacement or virtual event. 

Will registered participants receive a refund? 

Yes, all registered participants who paid a registration fee will receive a full refund. For team registrations, the refund will be issued to the individual who made the original payment on behalf of the team.    
 

How will refunds be processed and how long will they take? 

Refunds will be issued via the original payment method used to register on Peatix. It may take approximately six to eight weeks for the refund to be reflected in your account, depending on your card issuer and billing cycle.   
 

Will participants need to take any action to receive their refunds? 

No action is required at this stage. Refunds will be initiated automatically through the original payment method.   
 

What happens if a registered participant does not receive the refund after the communicated period?

Participants who have not received their refund after eight weeks should contact sim.meiching@touch.org.sg with their registration details, so our team can investigate. 
 

How will refunds be handled for participants whose original payment method is no longer active? 

If the original payment method is no longer active, participants should contact sim.meiching@touch.org.sg. Our team will verify the case and advise on the available refund arrangement. 
 

Will participants still receive their event entitlements? 

Event entitlements, including goodie bags, will not be distributed as the festival has been cancelled.

Will any festival activities still take place at Our Tampines Hub on 7 - 8 November 2026?  

No. All activities related to J.A.M. Football Festival, including football matches, e-sports competitions, performances and activity booths, have been cancelled. Please do not make a trip down to the venue for the festival. 
 

Should volunteers still report for their shifts?

 No. All volunteer shifts for 6 - 8 November 2026 are completely cancelled, and you do not need to report for any shifts related to TOUCH J.A.M. Football Festival.
