Play It Forward: Allinton Charity Basketball Carnival

Play It Forward: Allinton Charity Basketball Carnival

For many of us, picking up a basketball is second nature. For a person with special needs, it can be the first step towards discovering confidence, building friendships and believing in what they are capable of.

Play It Forward is Allinton's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, created to give TOUCH Community Services beneficiaries that opportunity. Through the universal language of basketball, the programme goes beyond teaching the fundamentals of the game to creates a safe and encouraging environment where every participant is supported, celebrated and empowered to grow at their own pace.

In the weeks leading up to the event, Allinton employees and members of the Allinton Hornets, a Singapore-based professional basketball club proudly supported by Allinton, volunteer their time to coach and mentor TOUCH's beneficiaries. Every training session is about more than learning to dribble, pass or shoot. It is about building confidence with every small achievement, finding courage to step onto the court and discovering the joy of belonging to a team. That journey comes to life at Play It Forward, where beneficiaries proudly take to the court alongside the Allinton Hornets in a series of friendly basketball matches. Surrounded by employees, students, corporate partners and the wider community, they are cheered on not for winning, but for how far they have come. The event also features a charity basketball tournament, community booths and fundraising activities, celebrating the power of inclusion and the impact of a community that chooses to stand together.

Every dollar raised helps TOUCH Community Services provide life-changing opportunities for individuals and families in need. Together, we are doing more than raising funds. We are helping every beneficiary find the courage to take their next shot—in basketball and in life.Together, let's Play It Forward.
