Having been in this line of work for more than a decade, I have had the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of adoption. I am constantly amazed by the resilience of children who, despite difficult beginnings, find love, stability, and a sense of belonging in a “forever” family. Every successful adoption story fills me with gratitude for adoptive parents who open their hearts and homes to children in need. Some of these children have grown to be accomplished and independent individuals who are making an impact on the world around them.

I am thankful for adoptive families who step up and provide not just a home, but a nurturing environment where children can heal and thrive. The commitment, patience, and unconditional love they offer are truly inspiring. I am also grateful for the birth families who make the brave and selfless decision to place their child for adoption when they recognise that it is in the best interest of their child. Their courage and love should never go unnoticed.

The adoption process is a journey filled with both challenges and rewards. It requires thoughtful planning, deep emotional investment, and the navigating of complex systems. Every adoption represents a fresh start and a hopeful future. As a caseworker with TOUCH Adoption, I am thankful for the opportunity to play a role in these stories of love, healing, and new beginnings.
