Supporting Forever Families Through Adoptees Connect

In response to growing interest among adoptees in searching for their birth origins, TOUCH Adoption launched Adoptees Connect—a dedicated support group where adoptees can explore their readiness for a birth search and understand what the journey entails.

Since its launch last year, the support group has made a meaningful impact by providing a safe space for adoptees to access resources, share experiences, and find mutual support. Notably, one participant was able to reconnect with her birth family through the collective help of fellow adoptees. Others have formed therapeutic bonds within the group, offering emotional relief and validation for the unique challenges they face. These include struggles with late or undisclosed adoption history, as well as the emotional weight carried by those who were informed early but lacked sufficient support. 

The birth search journey is often long and filled with uncertainty for adoptees. Having a support group provides adoptees with a safe and non-judgmental space to share experiences and build connections.  Regardless of the outcome, their emotional needs and the support they require remain deeply significant.   

TOUCH Adoption is committed to offering a safe and supportive space through our support group. We are grateful to be part of these meaningful journeys—stories of love, healing, and closure, and offer community support to reduce isolation and help adoptees find a strong sense of self to navigate the joys and challenges of adoption.
