About the Activity
TOUCH Community Services has been appointed by SG Enable to operate Enabling Services Hub (ESH) in Jurong.
ESH offers services such as social and recreational activities, continual education and learning courses, information and referral, as well as caregiver support for persons with disabilities (PwDs), aged between 18 and 60 years old, and their caregivers, living in Jurong, Clementi or Queenstown.
Community befrienders will support the ESH team in the following areas:
- Build rapport and check in on the well-being of PwDs and their caregivers
- Engage in simple activities with PwDs and their caregivers
- Highlight issues to ESH staff that would require in-depth support
A briefing will be conducted for volunteers to understand the ESH services that will benefit the PwDs and their caregivers, and equip volunteers with effective communication skills during the visit.
Schedule & Commitment
At least 2 times a month for a minimum of 4 months, subject to volunteer's availability.

Requirements:
- 18 years old and above
- Comfortable engaging with adults with disabilities and their caregivers
- Volunteer at least once in ESH regular programmes
Your primary role involves:
- Build rapport and check in on the well-being of PwDs and their caregivers through chit-chat and simple activities
- Highlight issues to ESH staff that would require in-depth support
