About the Activity
Carer Lighthouse is an 6-week programme aimed at equipping Caregivers with coping and navigation skills, while building a close-knit community for emotional and social support. We are looking for volunteers who are keen to help support caregivers, and who are good at empathetic listening.
Schedule & Commitment
All volunteers to commit to one mass training session on 13 August, and 2 online training sessions of 1.5 hours each if selected.
Each programme run is 6 weeks, 4 hours on a fixed day each week. Programme start dates will be ad-hoc, with the earliest starting on 5th September 2026..

Carer Lighthouse Facilitator Support
Requirements:
- 19 years old and above
Suitable for volunteers:
- Interested in supporting distressed or overwhelmed caregivers who are often overlooked
- Interested in learning about the caregiving landscape in Singapore
- Get firsthand understanding of challenges faced by caregivers
- Enjoy face-to-face interactions in small group settings
- Learn and practice group facilitation skills
Your primary role involves:
- Support the staff facilitator in conducting the group session and take notes on participants behaviour, participating frequency and involvement
- Support the logistical arrangements of the programme, including preparing for lunch and session content
- Encourage peer-to-peer interactions between participants of the programme
- Listen to group participants’ sharing, capture main messages and take down key points
- Facilitate certain content or discussions related to the participant's caregiving journey.
Ans: A short screening session will be done through an online meeting upon successful application for the volunteer facilitator role. Shortlisted applicants will be informed via the contact number they have provided.
