Meals-On-Wheels is a meal delivery programme to meet the daily needs of frail seniors. The elderly, who usually live alone, depend on volunteers to deliver their meals every day.
You can volunteer as a driver or runner.
Preferably once a week for lunch (9.30am – 11.45am) or dinner (3.30pm – 5.45pm) delivery.
Do note that the actual duration will depend on the number of packets of meals and the familiarity of the route to deliver meals.
You will pick up meals from the collection point. Each MOW team usually consists of a driver (with his / her own vehicle) and a runner (deliver meals to doorstep). For volunteers who do not drive, you will be assigned to zones with blocks clustered together. You need to take public transport and/or walk to deliver to the senior’s home.
A: No, you do not need to and may leave from your last delivery location.
