[email protected] 433, initiated and developed by TOUCH Community Services, is an accessible neighbourhood facility and a launch pad for residents to become resources to support ageing-in-place. Located strategically at Blk 433 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, it is within 600m or a five to eight minute walk from the 32 blocks within the CEP precinct. Most parts of this activity node are accessible 24/7 and residents can initiate their interest-based activities, participate in exercise programs, attend health checks or learn skills.
The facility also runs Lien Foundation’s “Gym Tonic”, a customised strength-training programme for seniors, which can be used by seniors who are healthy as well as those who need rehabilitation. Architecturally, [email protected] 433 will feature a ribbon of spaces extending from indoors to outdoors, with a continuous shelter that allows pockets of activities to co-exist. [email protected] 433 is part of TOUCH’s Community Enablement Project to enable communities to age in place.
In 2019, [email protected] 433 was recognised as having the best architecture design that integrates wellness to support living environments for older people at the 7th Asia Pacific Eldercare Innovation Awards.
